  • When you post on social media, add your links to your posts or Instagram Stories

  • Reach out to be a guest on someone’s podcast or blog

2. Get Connected to Search Engine Console


This is such a quick and easy way to get some more website traffic. It’s actually quite essential! By connecting your website to Search Engine Console, you’re letting Google know that your site exists so that it can begin to index it properly in the search engine results.

It always comes back to SEO, doesn’t it?! Optimizing your dog trainer website for SEO can feel overwhelming for sure, but it doesn’t have to be. 4. Start Blogging!!


I know I’m beating a dead horse here (who made up that phrase, by the way? Not sure how I feel about it, but you get the point LOL), but blogging is seriously one of the BEST drivers of traffic to your site. And I don’t think that’s ever going to change.


Even if you’re only blogging one time a month, that’s a GREAT start. When you start blogging, keep in mind what your potential clients would be searching for on Google and if possible, try to start with local-based content if you’re a local dog trainer.


For example, instead of sharing a blog post on… best dog training tips for your dog, consider a blog post on… the best pet-friendly hikes in your local area or how to loose-leash walk with your dog at La Jolla Shores.


Yes, the more general one may get some more traffic overall, but who cares if someone from New York sees your blog post if you’re a dog trainer in Los Angeles?!

  • You rank for other keywords outside of your main site’s keywords

  • Address specific problems/pain points that people are searching for

  • Answer questions in your process to avoid more manual emailing back and forth

A great headline is one of the best things you can do to get people to stay on your website, and thus increase your website traffic the longer people stay on your site. A lot of times, people get stuck on headlines because they’re trying to be extra creative or add in some extra pet-related puns, but our suggestion? Keep it simple and to the point!




6. Beef up Your Social Cred!


While this one doesn’t DIRECTLY relate to getting people on your site in the first place, this is another tip to help establish trust, which keeps people on your website.


If people don’t trust your business via your website, they won’t stick around and your bounce rate will increase. That in itself can lower your website traffic as Google learns that your site isn’t a great result! So keeping people on your site longer can make a big difference in your website traffic in the long run.


One of our suggestions to doing so is increasing trust, which can come from social credibility - i.e. having quality, organic testimonials throughout your site. There’s no need for a testimonial or review page. Having reviews scattered organically on several pages is a better way to build trust and get people to see the social status.




7. Add Calls-To-Action That Direct People To Your Website


Yea, you actually have to ask people to go to your website to help with website traffic, too!

Here are some ways to do so:

  • Set up an Instagram link page, so you can direct people to a few different page options on your site through the use of the link in your bio.

  • Add CTAs on all of your social media posts, so people can be easily directed back to your site and increase traffic that way!
